On January 16th of last year, I had your company install a system to correct the water leaking into my basement. In all reality, my wife was the main reason I had this done. She seemed to be very concerned about the mold and must this was causing and how it was affecting my asthma condition. Well, you've made a skeptic into a true believer. The overall condition of our house has changed so drastically. Not only is the dampness and "dungeon" feel gone, but I'm making plans to remodel and turn my basement into a rec room. I wanted to thank you for coming to our home and taking the time to explain how your product works and answering all of our installation and drainage questions. Thank You.

Also, a special commendation goes to your installers, Kevin, Jarrett, and Harry, who did a masterful job installing the sump pump and drain system in our home on April 9, 1999. Kevin, Jarrett, and Harry arrived at our home on time and quickly proceeded with the work. They worked steadily and with coordinated effort whereby they were always working toward completing the project. They are a very professional and courteous team and you should take immense pride in knowing they do a great job representing JES Basement Systems.

Although we had been warned that there would be some dust and debris, Kevin, Jarrett, and Harry spent considerable time and effort sweeping up and carrying debris to their truck to haul away. Other than some light vacuuming, there was very little cleaning left for us to do.

The best part of the project is that now my wife and I will no longer have to worry when we are away from our home and a big storm approaches, because we know our basement is protected by our system.

I've had several other companies give me estimates to have work done, and their approach was more of the "starving salesman" compared to your honest concern for my problem.

The crew that installed the Waterguard system did an EXCELLENT job. Not only were they able to complete the job in a short time, they left my house with virtually no disruption. They were thorough, courteous, and very willing to answer the few questions I had.

Yesterday, I had a meeting with Jake waltz, one of your inspectors. I felt it necessary to let you know how pleased I was with his promptness, and his knowledge and ability to explain things in a way that we could understand.

To be perfectly honest, I usually have problems with companies that offer services such as yours. Those problems go from them not showing up, to them telling us about how expensive it will be to correct things that aren't in need of repair. I was sure we would have the same experience with your company.

Fortunately to us, Jake could find no problems with moisture in our home. He did however, take the time to make recommendations for some minor repairs that we can do ourselves, and ways to "beef up" the current drainage system.

Jake obviously understands how important that first contact with a customer is, and because of his professional attitude and honesty, if we should ever need the type of services you provide, your company will be the one that we contact.

I'm sure that Jake, on a regular basis, is complimented for his customer relation skills. If not, it's probably time to get some recognition for a job well done.

We have lived in this house for nearly twenty years and for the entire time we had accepted that every five years or so our basement would flood. Any time we got exceptionally heavy rain over a short period of time, or normal rainfall for an unusually long time span. We would get two or three inches of water in our finished basement.

Last may we contracted with JES Basement Systems to install a drainage system to prevent this aggravating and expensive problem. Since them we have had two one-hundred-year floods in our area and the wettest summer in over a hundred years. Without your product we could have been flooded five or six times in the last four months.

Although I don't normally write letters of gratitude to businesses just for doing what they said they would do, I felt compelled to let you know that our basement has been bone dry though the entire period. Since you have completed your work we have seen no sign of dampness, mildew or watermarking. Your product has exceeded our expectations. So much so, in fact, we even had the confidence to put down carpeting!

Now if you could just do something about crabgrass…

On Wednesday, March 12, your company installed a waterproofing systems in my basement. I want to publicly thank the four young men who performed the work. They were all professional, polite, and courteous to my home situation; namely, that I have two elderly relatives living with me and the level of disruption was minimal.

The work was done quickly, but thoroughly. With all the rain on Friday, March 14, there wasn't even a musty odor in the basement.

I am hopeful that the work your company performed, and the additional landscaping I will be doing, will finally give me peace of mind. I have had two floods, one just 1 month after buying this house, due to shoddy workmanship by the seller/builder of this home, so it will take awhile to realize I do not have to worry now, but I am working on it!

I also want to thank the lady who did the telemarketing (I usually don't even talk to telemarketers), and Mike Waltz, the salesman who came to my house. They are the reason I went ahead and had this work done.
