Wet basement waterproofing products have really come a long way! There are many different products and solutions to choose from when you have decided it is time to waterproof your home’s basement. Crack injections, french drains, sump pumps, just to name a few, are some solutions in battling your wet basement.

This means that the area of the basement that was waterproofed, if you ever have an issue in that part again with water, the contractor will come back out and fix it for free. Basements that have cracks in the foundation that has water coming through them can be repaired using crack injections. Crack injections can come in polyurethane, or epoxy. Polyurethane is flexible. It forms a barrier that water cannot penetrate, however, it does not add any structural strength. Epoxy can add strength to the foundation, and also stop water from seeping through the cracks and crevices.
Sump pumps are also great when it comes to keeping your basement dry. You can also chose how much protection you want when you install one. When I say protection, I mean there are different types of sump pumps you can go with.

Ultra sump pumps have a primary pump and a secondary pump all in one. If the primary pump fails to operate, or cannot handle all the water flowing into it, the secondary takes over or assists the primary pump in pumping the water out of your home.
